Hey Reader, Have you ever had a full-circle moment—one of those experiences that makes you pause and realize just how far you’ve come? I had one recently. A few weeks ago, I was invited to speak at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Halifax Annual Breakfast. The room was filled with politicians, CEOs, staff, and students. My message that morning was simple but powerful: Opportunity changes everything. Why was this such a full-circle moment for me? Because the Boys & Girls Club helped save me when I was a kid. I grew up in low-income housing—surrounded by drugs, crime, and constant challenges. I was bullied by drug dealers and struggled to see a way out. But the Club became my safe space. It gave me a place to belong, mentors who believed in me, and experiences that opened my eyes to what was possible. The foundation I built there—confidence, communication, leadership—still shapes who I am today. It was surreal to stand on that stage, speaking to leaders and youth in the very organization that once helped me believe in myself. 👉🏾 You can watch a quick highlight from my talk HERE. Here are 3 key takeaways from my speech:1️⃣ Opportunity creates hope, unleashes potential, and transforms lives. 2️⃣ Be ready when opportunity knocks. 3️⃣ Don’t wait for opportunities—create them. This experience reminded me that no matter where you start, with the right opportunity—and the courage to act on it—you can change everything. Keep going, P.S. Hi Reader, Let me ask you something honest: when was the last time you turned down a chance to speak — a podcast invite, a stage, a live in your own community — because that voice in your head said "not yet, I'm not ready"? You're not alone. Fear of public speaking is one of the most common things holding coaches, consultants, and experts back — not from a lack of expertise, but from a lack of clarity on how to show up when it counts. Here's the truth: the market doesn't reward the most...
Hi Reader, Have you ever wondered why some coaches can stand on a stage and instantly become the person everyone wants to hire… …while others have more knowledge, more certifications, and better results—but still struggle to get noticed? It usually isn’t because they’re less qualified. It’s because they’re afraid to speak. Not just on a stage. They’re afraid of saying the wrong thing. Afraid of being judged. Afraid of looking inexperienced. Afraid of putting themselves out there. So they stay...
Hi Reader, Every successful speaker has a superpower. Some people command attention the second they walk into a room. Others make people feel deeply seen and understood. Some simplify complex ideas brilliantly. And others inspire people to dream bigger and take action. The question is… Which one are you? Most coaches and experts never discover their natural communication advantage — so they spend years forcing strategies that don’t fit them. But when you understand your speaking style,...
